After serving as a sheriff's deputy and a prisoner transport officer, Mr. Holden worked as the director of loss prevention at a Montgomery Wards store. There he developed a comprehensive corporate loss prevention system that is still in use by several national corporations today. The shrinkage and loss percentages of the stores in which his plan was implemented were below three percent. In 1988, Mr. Holden left Montgomery Wards and founded Holden & Associates, Investigations. Nearly two decades later, Holden & Associates is one of the largest private investigation firms in Florida, and has operated in over twenty-five states. Mr. Holden has assembled a team of experts with backgrounds in law enforcement, forensics, evidence handling, loss prevention, computer research, and the military. With this experience and expertise, Mr. Holden has trained his team of investigators to be the best in the business. Mr. Holden is an advocate for the safety of women and children. He has twice testified before the Florida legislature regarding laws to this effect, once regarding the stalking law (passed in 1994), and once regarding a law intended to protect children from predatory adults. Mr. Holden has also personally recovered numerous children from abductors around the country.
Mr. Holden is very active in the community. He is a member of several organizations that work in the areas of business, community improvement, and education. He frequently speaks at school career fairs, business luncheons and functions. Holden and Associates is a corporate sponsor of numerous educational endeavors, including the Red Apple Schools and the Little People's Guide to the Big World.
